How We Help
We are able to carry out our mission because of the generosity of businesses, organizations, and individual donors. Wheelchairs are expensive and we know how difficult they can be to get. We work hard everyday doing the following:
- We partner with foundations, schools, businesses, and service organizations to raise money for our mission.
- We actively seek in-kind donations of new and gently used manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, and power scooters.
- We remain on a first-name basis with local wheelchair vendors and work closely with each other to provide for unmet mobility needs.
- We serve as an information source for individuals with disabilities to find the resources they need to stay mobile.
- We educate the public about disabilities and teach that a wheelchair doesn’t define a person. It is merely a vehicle that gets a person from point A to point B.
