Great things are happening! Below are just a few of our most recent milestones, to view the complete history of Alternatives in Motion please visit our Milestones Archives.
2011
- We celebrated a MAJOR milestone by offering mobility assistance for the 1,000th time. 673 individuals have recieved equipment from Alternatives in Motion and 153 of them have been helped two or more times, demonstrating our committment to keep people mobile.
- Former wheelchair recipient Andrew Icek volunteered over 400 hours of time to archive every recipient record we had on file since 1995. His work resulted in a much deeper look at how we help Move People Forward!

- We recieved a $2,400 grant from the Nonprofit Technical Assistance Fund to cover the cost of purchasing GiftWorks Donor Management software and update our obsolete database program.
- The Walmart Foundation made a second contribution to Alternatives in Motion in the amount of $575 and we had the opportunity too give a brief presentation to the Walmart employees at the Alpine street store in Grand Rapids.
